This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for project coordination, agile delivery support, stakeholder communication, and maintaining project documentation. The position requires experience managing complex technical initiatives supporting multiple stakeholders in a government or public health environment.

Mission overview: Supporting various state and local public health agencies with data and infrastructure modernization to improve health data interoperability using modern health IT standards.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrating responsiveness and accountability.
- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and tasks using Jira and approved documentation.
- Facilitate meetings such as standups, check-ins, and retrospectives; prepare agendas, document notes, and track action items.
- Coordinate project documentation, including charters, deliverables, meeting materials, and final work products following established templates.
- Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking; communicate potential blockers to project leadership.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to align tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor the quality and completeness of project outputs prior to submission or handoff.
- Support agile practices by coordinating backlog updates, milestones, and Jira task hygiene.
- Contribute to post-project reviews and apply lessons learned across engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least four (4) years of full life cycle project management experience across planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout for complex technical initiatives
- Experience producing project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive briefings
- Managing complex projects with all staff levels
- Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Hands-on experience engaging with and managing cross-discipline teams
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving requirements
- Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in multi-team and multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong command of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models
- Effective supporting collaborative decision-making across multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of public health systems, surveillance workflows, and state, local, and tribal public health environments
- Direct experience supporting CDC, HHS, or similar federal public health programs
- Experience overseeing AI-enabled tools, decision support, or automation in public health contexts
- Exposure to DevSecOps, system modernization, or legacy system migration efforts
