About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Full-Stack Engineer to join our Federal Strategic Cyber program-an environment where your engineering expertise directly strengthens national security. In this role, you'll build modern, mission-critical applications from front to back, contributing to tools used by federal cyber operations.
Location: Arlington VA. Hybrid schedule; on-site presence as needed.

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Full-Stack Engineer to join our Federal Strategic Cyber program-an environment where your engineering expertise directly strengthens national security. In this role, you'll build modern, mission-critical applications from front to back, contributing to tools used by federal cyber operations.
Location: Arlington VA. Hybrid schedule; on-site presence as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks as the primary focus of your work.
- Lead the development of custom web applications with polished, performant user interfaces that evolve with mission needs.
- Architect and implement scalable frontend solutions, including component libraries, state management, and responsive design patterns.
- Support the integration of emerging technologies, including AI-driven interfaces and advanced analytics dashboards surfaced through the frontend.
- Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts and integration points, with occasional hands-on work in Java or NodeJS as mission needs arise.
- Solve complex challenges involving cross-browser compatibility, frontend performance optimization, and multi-environment deployments.
- Work in an Agile environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and collaborating across teams.
- Troubleshoot UI/UX issues, enhance application performance, and produce clear technical documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements Are:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience (or 9+ years without a degree).
- Strong, demonstrable expertise in frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and modern web frameworks.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and frontend build tooling (e.g., NPM, or similar).
- Hands-on experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of Java or Python for occasional backend tasking and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and Git.
- Familiarity with cloud services and emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts as they apply to web application development.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS background investigation.
Preferred Requirements:
- Deep expertise with the Angular and/or React framework, including advanced patterns such as lazy loading, custom directives, and reactive forms.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and related infrastructure tooling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline configuration and management (e.g., GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with frontend test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Jest, Playwright).
- Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
