Job Description

Overview

i3 is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Software Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL-2) team.
  • Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
  • Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
  • Work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
  • Provide include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership.
  • Report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.


Qualifications

The candidate will need to have a good understanding of at least some of the following: ansible and/or other scripting languages; data logging and archiving best practices; weapon system component health & status reporting best practices; the DDS standard; C++ and Java code. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

T he candidate must:
  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Be a US citizen
  • Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics
  • Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

Other Qualifications:

An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to "move out" and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important. Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Initiative and willingness to support a rapidly evolving Launched Effects, UAS, safety, engineering, and acquisition environment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
