To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) conducting incident management to coordinate incident response functions through resolution; (2) monitoring and assisting in troubleshooting efforts utilizing network tools and software; (3) reporting on incident findings to appropriate constituencies; (4) and writing executive summaries and after-action reviews for distribution to higher level agencies and/or leaders.
Information Technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others.

- Prepare graphics and diagrams depicting the respective networks or communication systems in the European and African area of operations and responsibility.
- Technically evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of systems troubleshooting, fault isolation and service restoration to ensure appropriate measures and resources are allocated to effectively and efficiently restore service to the users
- Maintains continuous oversight of all Theater communications and data network in support of the United States Army Europe-Africa
- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of a broad range of technical information; uses sound, independent judgment to generate, evaluate, and execute alternative courses of action for immediate mitigation of operational impact
- Understands and applies Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Circulars, Army Regulations, ARCYBER regulations, equipment Technical Manuals (TM), and internal/external Standard Operating Procedure.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
- Prior to appointment applicants are required to sign a statement indicating they understand the conditions of employment or assignment to the position and acknowledge the consequences of failing to meet and maintain those required conditions.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
- While serving a probationary period the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position is designated as mission critical.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain a valid US Army in Europe (USAREUR) Driver's License.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.

- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
