Job Description

Duties

  • You will prepare formal correspondence or e-mail on a range of disciplinary actions.
  • You will advise and assist employees, managers and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolution of conflicts or problems.
  • You will provide labor-relations support to assigned organizations.
  • You will provide authoritative technical assistance to management on issues such as handling and resolution of adverse actions, grievances and appeals.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Knowledge of concepts, principles, laws and regulations of management employee and labor relations;
2) Ability to plan, organize, and conduct research of complex legal problems in major areas of uncertainty within the Headquarters and field operating activities;
3) Skill in written and oral techniques to develop and deliver briefings, status reports and correspondence to managers.
