Data Center/Fiber Technician
Responsibilities
Install, route, terminate, and organize fiber optic cabling within a data center environment.
Perform rack-to-rack cable installations and support fiber infrastructure projects.
Complete assigned work orders, service requests, and project-related tasks.
Maintain accurate installation, maintenance, and project documentation.
Communicate effectively with customers, project stakeholders, and internal teams.
Follow all safety procedures, site requirements, and quality standards.
Support project timelines and ensure work is completed on schedule.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
Experience working in a data center environment.
Experience installing, routing, terminating, and organizing fiber optic cabling.
Experience performing rack-to-rack cable installations.
Knowledge of fiber infrastructure, cable management, and data center best practices.
Ability to read and follow installation standards, procedures, and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
Experience supporting large-scale data center deployments or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and fiber testing procedures.
Experience working in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
Compensation
$22-$32/hour, commensurate on experience.
