MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR

Duties

As an MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR, WG-5703-8, you will:

• Operate and perform operator maintenance
• Assures cargo is properly loaded, distributed, and secured
• Transport personnel, supplies, materials or equipment
• Perform warehouse work to include issuing receiving and inventorying equipment
• Complete log books, maintenance records, reports, and other transportation documents for accuracy

Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.

*Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1)

Qualifications

General Experience:
Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.

Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience or training which demonstrates the following:

• Ability to operate one or more motor vehicles
• Operate platform, van, stake, and dump trucks
• Refueling vehicles passenger buses or ambulance buses
• Operate all wheeled vehicles and tractors which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 11,700 kilograms (26,000 pounds) and up to 14,400 kilograms (less than 32,000 pounds)
