The Influence and Integration Department advances IC's enterprise priorities by translating policy intent into integrated, executable approaches across the Intelligence Community. The department supports IC's policy and mission integration efforts by shaping policy frameworks, strengthening governance and oversight, and guiding capability development that connects strategic direction to mission execution. Through disciplined analysis, enterprise coordination, and sustained partnership, the department aligns policy, mission priorities, and analytic leadership to enable coherent implementation of modernization initiatives and reinforce sponsor's role as the strategic leader of the IC.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Influence and Integration Department seeks an Intelligence Community (IC) Artificial Intelligence (AI) SME to help our government sponsors translate fast-moving developments in the field of AI into clear, implementable policy, governance, and senior leader decision support. The AI SME will play a critical role in helping to inform policy and strategy, enterprise architecture, and acquisition plans for our government sponsors.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of AI concepts, capabilities, limitations, and real-world use cases, with enough technical literacy to assess how AI advances may affect national security as well as public sector, private sector, and government operations. The candidate will also be expected to develop clear, concise, technically accurate, and actionable deliverables; contribute cohesively to a high performing team; and communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences including senior decision makers.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in many of the areas specified below:
- Apply a strong foundation in both the theory and practical application of artificial intelligence to support mission-focused initiatives.
- Analyze and advise on core AI and data science concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, statistics, data preprocessing, model evaluation, optimization, cloud platforms, and model deployment frameworks.
- Develop clear, concise, and actionable deliverables for senior Government decision-makers on AI-related topics.
- Assess and align state-of-the-art AI capabilities with enterprise-wide mission needs and operational priorities.
- Support the development of practical and implementable AI roadmaps, strategies, and policies.
- Serve as a liaison between Government sponsors and industry leaders to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and AI adoption.
- Provide insight into the structure of the U.S. Intelligence Community, including the roles and responsibilities of its departments and agencies.
- Advise on how the U.S. Intelligence Community and individual IC elements are integrating AI into mission and operational environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Technical literacy in AI concepts and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to serve as an impactful forward-leaning team member.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements for a clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Due to the lengthy clearance process and our urgent need, candidates without an existing TS/SCI clearance with polygraph cannot be considered for this opening.
- This position has an on-site requirement of 4 days a week on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Previous experience supporting an AI-focused government sponsored program.
- Previous direct support to senior-level leaders and/or experience working in an organizational front office.
- Ability to develop enterprise AI-related policy and strategy, enterprise architecture, and acquisition plans.
