The Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) provides Integrated Product Support (IPS) and lifecycle logistics support for Department of War acquisition programs. The selected candidate supports planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of logistics activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle, ensuring systems are supportable, maintainable, deployable, and compliant with Army and DoW logistics policies.

Salary Range
The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.

The Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) provides Integrated Product Support (IPS) and lifecycle logistics support for Department of War acquisition programs. The selected candidate supports planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of logistics activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle, ensuring systems are supportable, maintainable, deployable, and compliant with Army and DoW logistics policies.
Responsibilities:
- Support Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) activities throughout system acquisition and sustainment.
- Develop, review, and update logistics documentation, including:
- Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
- Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements
- Maintenance Plans
- Provisioning documentation
- Fielding and Transition Plans
- Coordinate logistics planning with Program Managers, Engineers, Product Support Managers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Analyze logistics support requirements and recommend improvements to readiness, reliability, maintainability, and sustainment.
- Monitor Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) accountability.
- Support property accountability using DPAS, GCSS-Army, or equivalent logistics systems.
- Assist with inventory management, provisioning, transportation planning, and supply chain coordination.
- Prepare logistics reports, briefings, metrics, and milestone documentation.
- Support fielding events, logistics demonstrations, testing activities, and New Equipment Training (NET) when required.
- Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations, Army logistics policies, and applicable FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline (experience may substitute for education).
- 4-8 years of DoW logistics or acquisition logistics experience.
- Experience supporting Army or DoW acquisition programs.
- Working knowledge of:
- Integrated Product Support (IPS)
- Life Cycle Logistics
- Product Support Analysis (PSA)
- Supply Chain Management
- Property Accountability
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with:
- DPAS/ELMS
- GCSS-Army
- LMP
- AESIP
- Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)
- Knowledge of:
- FAR
- DFARS
- DoDI 5000 series
- Army Command Discipline logistics policies
- Experience supporting PEOs, CECOM, DEVCOM, or Army acquisition organizations.
- DAU Back-to-Basics Life Cycle Logistics Certification or equivalent.
