Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking a SOX Testing Expert (Internal Control, Senior Associate) to support a Federal government client. The SOX Testing Expert will be conducting internal control testing for the Board's SOX program, including evaluation of the defined Risk Control Matrix (RCM), control objectives, test procedures, SOC 1 Type 2 reports, and associated federal compliance documentation.
This position requires a remote schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $120,000 - $140,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package. Responsibilities
- Conduct SOX testing as documented in the Board's Risk Control Matrix (RCM), aligned with FISCAM rev. 2024, NIST SP 800-53 and 800-53A rev. 5
- Evaluate control design, test procedures, detailed and summary results, and supporting documentation
- Review SOC 1 Type 2 reports, including Complementary User Entity Controls (CUECs) and subservice provider reports
- Perform testing and evaluation of Workday Government Cloud and Coupa BSM financial systems
- Assess Incident and Configuration Management Plans, POA&Ms, SOPs, and System Security & Privacy Plans
- Provide written recommendations to improve compliance and strengthen reliance on in-scope processes and applications
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated experience performing SOX testing
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53/800-53A, FISCAM, and IT general controls
- Experience reviewing SOC 1 reports and interpreting CUECs
- Strong technical writing skills for compliance and audit reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with federal financial systems such as Workday Government Cloud and Coupa BSM
- Experience evaluating security plans, POA&Ms, and configuration/incident management documentation
- Prior consulting or federal compliance support experience
Education
