Job Description

Duties

  • Incorporate and build on the current cross sectional, multidisciplinary work of child and youth advocacy programs addressing problematic sexual behavior-child/youth.
  • Leverage federal partners, civilian experts, and academic relationships to inform on policy.
  • Conduct unprecedented special assignments on complex high-priority issues in which the scope frequently alters as the work progresses.
  • Develop a variety of programs, services, and training responsive to the needs of service members and their families experiencing serious harmful behavior between military dependent children and youth of a physical, sexual, or emotional nature.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with federal partners, civilian experts, and academic relationships and other programs, both on and off military installations.
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of program data, reports, requirements and policy compliance for the child and youth advocacy programs.
  • Review assigned programs for potential efficiencies based on joint service initiatives and/or Federal partnership opportunities.
  • Research and coordinate resolution of complex time-essential actions for service members and their families.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating child and youth advocacy programs related to serious harmful behavior between military dependent children and youth of a physical, sexual, or emotional nature, collaborating with stakeholders, developing objectives or advancing programs, and providing analysis and/or interpretation of program data, reports, requirements and/or policy compliance for the Child and Youth Advocacy Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
