Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic Leader

Duties

• Lead a team of four or more technicians in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex electronic test equipment for air-launched missile systems.
• Schedule daily workloads and assigns maintenance tasks to team members to ensure the efficient utilization of personnel and resources.
• Instruct team members on the proper checkout, calibration, and adjustment of specialized electronics, infrared, and laser test sets.
• Ensure that necessary work orders, technical drawings, schematics, tools, and parts are available to technicians before beginning work.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and facility housekeeping rules during daily operations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions in specialized missile test sets to isolate and repair defective circuits.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance to lower-graded workers and reports work progress, delays, and administrative updates to the supervisor.

• This is a drug testing designated position.
• Position may require CONUS and OCONUS travel 10% of the time for mission and training requirements.
• Must meet certification requirements IAW AMC-R 350-4 within one year of appointment.
• Requires a Secret Security Clearance

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. The ability to lead common Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic duties including performing repair, maintenance, calibration, interim and final certification of complex computer based systems and automated test equipment. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey level employee who observed tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are completed properly. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

• Physical Effort: Job requires frequent standing, bending, and working in tiring positions, with occasional sitting down at workbenches. Incumbent is required to lift, pull, or push a variety of items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally some above that weight.
