Job Description
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Inspector monitors, evaluates and executes audits of assigned operations to ensure compliance with customer EHS policies, processes and procedures. Ensures the collection of EHS data and analyses of that data to identify trends and monitor the effectiveness of the EHS programs.

Principal Accountabilities
- Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Plans the Monthly Inspection and Evaluation Schedule and publishes the plan on a quarterly basis
- Performs internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established and applicable environmental, health and safety rules and governmental regulations.
- Conducts quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and subcontractors to ensure compliance with customer policies, procedures, standards and regulations.
- Coordinates and conducts EHS incident/accident investigations and prepares reports, quality trend analysis reports, quality evaluation records, and other QA & QC records as required by the contract or Program Office.
- Provide staff expertise for review of proposed environmental laws and regulations and assessment of impact to company operations.
- Reviews in-process and final QA & QC inspections of all maintenance actions, which involve Environmental, Health & Safety.
- Provide training to personnel in theatre on EHS topics or as directed by program QA Management.
- Conducts injury and accident investigations and determines root causes and corrective actions.
- Responds to customer complaints as required.
- Review incoming technical publications and directives for applicability.
- Verify that all personnel in theater are properly certified and/or trained to perform their assigned duties, in accordance with US and Host National Laws, Regulations and Standards and the Statement of Work.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of quality control plans and quality management practices and processes to carry out performance requirements and ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Working knowledge and experience implementing Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
- Experience in conducting aviation mishap and injury investigations.
- Knowledge in Root Cause analysis and implementing Corrective Actions.
- Working knowledge of military quality practices.
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
- Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skill
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Experience & Education
- Two years of experience in any combination in the following areas: Quality Assurance, Environmental, Health, Safety operations.
- OSHA Safety Certificate in General Safety or Construction Safety.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certificate is required and must be current.
- Quality management experience in an aviation maintenance organization.
- Aviation Safety Official or equivalent desirable.
- Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
- A valid US Passport with minimum 2.5 years validity is required for Deployment to Kuwait.
- Must be able to obtain Kuwait PCC & Visa
- Must be able to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements to attend CRC for Deployment.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Security Clearance (NAC-I T1) Public Trust. Must be able to obtain facility credentials/authorization to work at this location. US Citizenship is Required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions.
