POSITION / OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
• The A&P Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, preserving, maintaining, and overhauling aircraft, aircraft systems, and components in accordance with company policies, FAA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
• All work is performed in compliance with approved maintenance manuals and procedures to ensure airworthiness and safety standards are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform maintenance in accordance with approved procedures and technical data.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft systems and components.
• Accurately document and sign off on work performed.
• Utilize maintenance manuals, schematics, and blueprints during all tasks.
• Perform touch-up painting within the assigned work scope as needed.
• Maintain A&P license in current standing and on person while working.
• Support experimental or developmental work as assigned.
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• 2+ years of commercial heavy jet experience in an MRO environment.
• Boeing or Airbus experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of tools, gauges, and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal.
• Will Consider:
o Military aircraft maintenance experience (acceptable platforms)
o Combination of commercial heavy jet and rotary-wing (helicopter) experience
o Combination of commercial heavy jet and regional jet experience
• Strong Working Knowledge Of:
o FAA regulations (FARs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins
o Company policies and maintenance procedures
o Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and technical documentation
• Ability to complete a pre-employment 7-year Criminal Background Check, and standard FAA DOT drug test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge (must pass background check).
• Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
• Valid US Driver’s License.
• Proof of Authorization to work in the U.S.
• MUST have basic tools/box.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to work with arms extended overhead for extended durations.
• Must have correctable vision (near and far).
• Must be able to hear at a conversational level (with or without a hearing aid).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to safely handle small parts and precision tools.
