Summary
Strategic Technology Institute (STi) is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Sheet Metal personnel to support KC-135 aircraft maintenance operations. This position is based at Fairchild AFB, WA and requires travel to support maintenance operations throughout the United States and overseas. Ideal candidates have extensive experience performing aircraft structural repairs, modifications, fabrication, and corrosion repair while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
• Perform aircraft structural repairs and modifications.
• Fabricate, install, and repair aircraft sheet metal components.
• Repair aircraft skins, frames, stringers, bulkheads, and structural assemblies.
• Perform corrosion removal and structural repairs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, Technical Orders, and structural repair manuals.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Document maintenance actions accurately.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Travel as required to support mission requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft sheet metal experience on an Air Force wide-body aircraft (KC-135 preferred).
• Experience performing aircraft structural repairs and modifications.
• Experience with drilling, riveting, fabrication, and blueprint interpretation.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Clearance Required.
