Specialized Experience:
Have one year of specialized experience which includes the following. 1) provide research and information to analyze difficult and complex problems reported by computer users for issues such as specific software applications or operating systems; 2) Assist the director in managing the organization's computer processes or resources; and 3) visit job sites to collect data such as engineering specifications pertaining to various facilities or associate utility systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09)
OR
Have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Major study-computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).
OR
Have specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

- Provide first-line of assistance for users on hardware and software issues.
- Assist management in oversight and funding coordination for all computer requirements.
- Set up and maintain automated system consisting of the engineering history for each facility.
- Reviews initial specifications and engineering computations on new construction for technical errors.

- This position requires the incumbent to maintain A+ Certification. Incumbent must obtain the +A Certification within 6 months of appointment.
