Overview
Bowhead seeks a Senior NetOps Architect to support our customer on the PICRD II contract in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
• Provide engineering and implementation solutions, assisting with HQ USSPACECOM communications and computer requirement documents.
• Support examining mission requirements and assist in developing technical requirements for multi-level classification networks and releasable classification levels.
• Interact with customers/users to develop and review communication system requirements.
• Compare potential needs with existing infrastructure, identify shortfalls/excesses, integrate communication systems for interoperability.
• Perform risk assessments, cybersecurity engineering, technical security assessments, and recommend solutions.
• Meet with customers/users regularly to understand their needs and educate them on communication systems and the procurement process.
• Participate in planning forums, briefings, conferences, and meetings for internal and external resource updates. Perform systems architecture, design, planning, and integration.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement.
• Minimum of six (6) years of technical experience performing the duties described.
• Meets the Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 651 (NIST: SP-ARC-001).
• Experience maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies in accordance with government and accreditation standards.
• Experience with operating systems such as, Solaris, Linux, Windows operating systems (OS) and servers, VMware (various versions) as well as several versions of the Mac operating systems.
• Experience with configuration, installation, vulnerability identification and assessments, and security fortification of the fiber and ethernet networks.
• Experience developing and maintaining Communication and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs), Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) reports, schematic operational, systems, and technical architecture drawings, interface drawings between systems, connectivity drawings of equipment to various LANs and current configuration modifications IAW requirements derived from communication requirements and system accreditation process.
• Experience interacting with customers/users, develop and review communication system requirements, comparing potential needs with existing infrastructure, identifying shortfalls and excesses, integrating communication systems to achieve interoperability, and establishing continuity procedures and a reference library of pertinent policies, procedures, documents and architectures to properly plan future communication systems.
• Experience developing and reviewing Communication Requirement/Technical Solutions (CR/TS).
• Experience maintaining equipment operations through Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and repair schedules.
Certification Requirements:
• Required: CompTIA Sec+ and one of the following: FITSP-D, GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA), CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or GIAC GSEC.
Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Physical Demands:

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
