Kentro is hiring for Integration & Sustainment Project Manager to support Kentro's Veterans Affairs ESOM contract.

The Integration & Sustainment Project Manager supports the Veteran's Administration Integration & Sustainment Team (IST) by coordinating and delivering small to midsized sustainment, integration, and instrumentation related projects within the enterprise observability program. Working as part of the broader IST organization, this role ensures VA applications, platforms, and infrastructure receive the consistent telemetry, integrations, and long term visibility necessary to maintain service reliability.

The Project Manager partners closely with IST engineers, application owners, and operational stakeholders to plan, track, and execute well defined sustainment and integration workstreams. This role focuses on organizing tasks, ensuring quality, removing blockers, communicating timelines, and maintaining alignment with IST's established instrumentation standards and operational practices.

Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Occasional travel as needed to regional locations is required.

Compensation Range: The salary for this position is between $157-167K/annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Coordination
  • Manage small to midsized IST projects, ensuring tasks, milestones, and deliverables stay on track.
  • Coordinate with IST engineers to support instrumentation sustainment, telemetry improvements, tool integrations, updates, and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure project work aligns with IST-defined instrumentation patterns, architectures, and governance.
  • Track progress, identify risks, escalate issues when needed, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of instrumentation quality, telemetry consistency, and sustainment workflows by ensuring project work follows IST standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
  • Partner with application owners, engineering teams, and infrastructure groups to gather requirements and plan sustainment and integration activities.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, and expectations clearly to internal teams and leadership.
  • Ensure project work integrates effectively with incident management, dashboards, performance reporting, and other enterprise monitoring processes.

Operational Alignment
  • Follow IST's established best practices, documentation standards, and sustainment methodologies.
  • Assist with organizing project-related work intake and help prioritize tasks based on operational and sustainment needs.
  • Contribute to team cohesion by supporting collaborative planning, maintaining task clarity, and reinforcing shared instrumentation and sustainment goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 years of experience can be substituted for education.
    Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience with a background in IT operations, service reliability, application monitoring, or project coordination.
  • Experience working within operational teams supporting enterprise systems or federal clients.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices, event/incident handling workflows, or customer support processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate technical work, manage timelines, and work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to self-direct, manage multiple small projects, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.


Clearance Requirement:
  • US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
