Sr. IT Program Manager
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Sr. IT Program Manager to join our Client's team.
The Senior IT Program Manager will lead enterprise-level programs consisting of multiple complex projects that drive strategic transformation across the organization. This role provides strategic oversight, ensures alignment with business objectives, and manages interdependencies across programs and portfolios. The Sr. IT Program Manager will partner with executive leadership, program managers, and cross-functional teams to establish governance, optimize resources, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Governance
•
Define and implement program governance frameworks and decision-making structures.
•
Align program objectives with enterprise strategy and ensure benefits realization.
•
Develop and maintain program roadmaps and success metrics for executive visibility.
Leadership & Oversight
•
Lead and mentor program managers and project managers across multiple initiatives.
•
Provide executive-level reporting on program health, risks, and strategic outcomes.
•
Ensure compliance with IT governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Resource & Portfolio Management
•
Manage resource allocation across programs and resolve conflicts at the portfolio level.
•
Oversee budgets, timelines, and interdependencies across multiple programs.
•
Drive prioritization of initiatives based on strategic impact and business value.
Stakeholder Engagement
•
Engage with executive stakeholders to ensure alignment and sponsorship.
•
Facilitate communication across business units and technology teams.
•
Present program updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and steering committees.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
•
Drive organizational readiness and adoption for enterprise-level changes.
•
Champion continuous improvement and share best practices across programs.
•
Document lessons learned and contribute to organizational maturity in program management.
Qualifications
Education:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
•
Preferred: MBA, PgMP (Program Management Professional), MSP certification strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
•
8+ years of experience managing enterprise-level programs and portfolios.
•
Proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives with cross-functional impact.
•
Experience leading multiple program managers and large-scale technology transformations.
•
Experience with ERP, CRM, BI platforms, or other enterprise systems is a plus.
