Job Description

Duties

  • You will support all areas of planning, coordination, and execution of milestones and events under the Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing (DGSIT) PAC program.
  • You will assist in the development of DGSIT program milestones and program documentation for all phases of the program.
  • You will coordinate and conduct the Planning Definition Survey (PDS) phase of DGSIT program on deploying Strike Group surface combatants with focus on cruisers/destroyers (CG/DDG) and amphibious ships (LPD/LSD).
  • You will assist in team development of personnel in an underway interoperability testing environment.
  • You will develop DGSIT presentations and reports and participate in executive decision making.
  • You will apply fact finding and investigative techniques to accurately define, depict, and document DGSIT findings.
  • You will supervise and manage systems engineering teams of up to 18 personnel during underway C5I testing.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Medical Screening is required for Government Civilian Employees prior to embarking on U.S. Navy vessel afloat and away from shore for periods of time greater than 24 hours.
Qualifications

To qualify for the PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing and directing plans for accomplishing program objectives;
2) Overseeing a team's technical, administration and logistic efforts supporting the integration and interoperability testing of C5I systems associated with units and staffs assigned to deploying Carrier Strike Groups (CSG), Expeditionary Strike Groups (ESG), Marine Expeditionary Forces (MEF) Amphibious Ready Groups (ARG) and Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU);
3) Assisting in the development of Deploying Group System Integration Testing (DGSIT) program milestones and program documentation for all phases of the program; and
4) Responding personally to urgent internal and external inquiries regarding programmatic issues.
