- You will test, analyze, and repair instruments, meters, and control system components to ensure they are functioning properly and returning systems to operation.
- You will troubleshoot, reprogram, and recalibrate computer-controlled interface components, and initiate diagnostic programs to locate and check defective units.
- You will perform repairs on energized high-voltage systems, removing instruments and components from service in various distribution switchboards as necessary.
- You will use your judgment to determine work sequences, select appropriate tools, and apply technical data from schematics, manuals, and procedures.
- You will provide technical assistance and guidance to lower-graded workers and develop new techniques for use on specific or unique equipment.
