Job Description
- You will perform clerical work related to the processing of vehicle, motorcycle, pets, bikes and weapons registrations
- You will issue temporary passes for visitors entering the installation.
- You will review vehicle registration card for outstanding tickets and process in accordance with established rules and regulations.
- You will provide advice and assistance to retired and active-duty personnel, civilian and contract employees, vendors, and other persons inquiring about regulations and requirements of various programs.
- You will ensure out processing personnel are de-registered by removing their information from the database.
- You will maintain separate computerized database for vehicle registration, privately owned weapons registration, and bicycle registration and generate reports as required.
- You will be responsible for processing and deregistering weapons and vehicles.
- You will serve as point of contact for Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) Identification Card (ID) Program and issue to all eligible and authorized users.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Work regularly includes assignment to a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must pass a National Agency Check and a local background check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Overtime may be required.

GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing clerical work related to the processing of vehicle, motorcycle, pet, bike, or weapon registrations; AND providing temporary passes for visitors entering an installation.
GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

GS-05:SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Successfully completed at least 4 full academic years of education in any field above high school. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
GS-04:SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Successfully completed at least two full academic years of education in any field above high school. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
