Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and manage fully integrated master schedules for research, development, engineering, prototyping, integration, and testing programs.
- Lead cross-functional planning activities to align technical milestones, resource capacity, funding profiles, and program priorities across multiple projects.
- Build and maintain resource-loaded schedules that account for labor, facilities, test assets, materials, and long-lead procurement requirements.
- Integrate design, build, test, and evaluation activities into executable schedules with traceability from requirements through validation and delivery.
- Coordinate engineering development efforts, including design iterations, prototype builds, configuration changes, and test readiness activities.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments, scenario planning, and recovery planning to address delays, resource constraints, test issues, and material shortages.
- Monitor schedule performance, critical path activities, milestone achievement, and other key program metrics, driving corrective actions when needed.
- Present schedule status, risks, resource conflicts, and program progress to leadership while supporting internal reviews, customer engagements, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Active Secret Clearance preferred
- 7+ years of experience in scheduling, program planning, project controls, or a related discipline within complex technical environments.
- Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for engineering, development, research, or technical programs.
- Strong knowledge of critical path methodology, resource loading, schedule risk management, and schedule performance analysis.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor LN, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform resource analysis, forecasting, reporting, and schedule scenario modeling.
- Familiarity with engineering development lifecycles, including design, prototyping, integration, testing, validation, and iterative development processes.
- Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, program management, finance, supply chain, and executive leadership teams.
