Job Description

General Summary

Performs complex technical support of local, metropolitan, and wide area networks and cloud-based networks to include planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating solutions

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
  • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
  • Design, support, and manage a multi-zone network architecture.
  • Monitor network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission.
  • Analyze local and wide area network systems, to include testing.
  • Resolve complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms.
  • Configure communication media with routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices.
  • Configure routine systems to user environments.
  • Participate in planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing plans for network systems.
  • Provide technical support to various departments and users.
  • Provide Windows and Linux systems administration support.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Current Security+ CE Certification (or other 8570 IAT-II/III Baseline Certification)
  • Current or previously held Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Associate certification, or certificate of completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Windows Server administration
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management
  • Active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required;

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SolarWinds, ACAS, Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine and 802.1X
  • Knowledge of layer 2 switching, such as access interfaces or 802.1q trunking
  • Experience with Static, Dynamic, and Layer 3 routing
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Experience working with cross-functional test labs setting up test exercises
