The Senior Software Engineer leads software engineering projects involving large, complex systems and translates operational and business needs into effective technical solutions. This team member analyzes requirements and designs, develops technical artifacts, and converts designs into new or enhanced software. The Senior Software Engineer tests, debugs, and refines custom applications; improves software performance, efficiency, and maintainability; and maintains existing databases or designs new databases to meet program needs.

This position requires close coordination with Government stakeholders, program leadership, software engineers, database specialists, system administrators, and operational users. The Senior Software Engineer works in a collaborative, mission-focused environment that requires sound technical judgment, adaptability, discretion, and the ability to respond to changing operational priorities.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of technical experience as a software engineer, applications engineer, or developer supporting computer and database management systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in business application design, database management, and programming languages such as C++, C#, Perl, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and MySQL is required.
- Experience applying data security and integrity is highly desired.
- Experience implementing cloud technology solutions is preferred.
- Experience supporting mission-critical operations in an agile environment is highly desired.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering
