Job Description
seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented to join our vehicle sustainment team inThe selected candidate will provide logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
:
- Assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
- Planning, directing, or coordinating transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
- Anticipating transportation problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.
- Developing, administering, and overseeing the implementation of site environmental, safety and occupations health programs.
- Communicating in both verbal and written dialog while conducting daily business with vendors and other organizations.
- Providing leadership to a team including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, and checking on quality and work progress.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
:
- 10 years of experience:
- Experience in operating material handling equipment. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements; Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and personal safety equipment use.
- Ability to operate within the Standard Army Ammunition System-Modernized (SAAS-MOD).
- Fundamental knowledge of Import, Export, and ITAR Compliance.
- HAZMAT certified for declaring and transporting Dangerous Goods.
- Must have proof of completed training in the Army Training and Requirements Resource System (ATRRS) OR Department of the Air Force Learning Record (DAFLR)
- Experience in receipt, accountability, and inventory of equipment in a technical field or military environment.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.
- Fundamental knowledge of planning, coordinating, and transporting cargo within the European Union (EU).
- TC-AIMS II certified for coordinating the transport of U.S. Department of Defense cargo.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
- Must be a US Citizen with a current/active secret clearance.
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard for long periods of time.
