Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning)

• Serve as a Senior Information Technology Management Specialist for Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Division.
• Plan, coordinate, draft, monitor, analyze, and report required levels of customer service and recommend organizational/service improvements based upon analysis.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of processes and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of Service Management (SM) systems.
• Serve in the capacity of primary project officer on specific project or system development efforts on major, large-scale, complex, and labor intensive projects.
• Manage and provide upgrades that capitalizes on new technology insertion and the integration of complementary technologies to support the timely exchange and protection of battlefield information.
• Conduct coordination, analyze business process/service requirements, and make recommendations to functional managers on policy and service changes.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
• In accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and supplemental Army guidance, the employee must obtain and maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/or Software Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level:
• 1) Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months, 2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months, 3) 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code (which can overlap).
• This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
