Job Description

Bowhead seeks an Admin Analyst to join our team supporting NIWC Atlantic. The Admin Analyst will play a critical role assisting the Project Lead to gather project information, organize documentation, or report status. The Admin Analyst will work as part of a larger team supporting program operations.

This position is 100% onsite. No hybrid/flex or remote work schedules are permitted for this effort.

• Work directly with the Project Lead to manage schedules, track action items, and maintain operational momentum across multiple R&D/S&T projects.
• Act as the central point of contact to facilitate communication, collaboration, and alignment among diverse cross-functional teams (including hardware, software, integration, and external stakeholders).
• Coordinate and schedule experimentation and test events, including securing locations, reserving test ranges, and organizing travel or site access for personnel.
• Assist in the early stages of planning test events by tracking resource availability, milestones, and coordination timelines.
• Manage and organize essential project files, meeting minutes, and communication channels with an emphasis on clarity and team accessibility rather than deep technical authoring.
• Schedule technical reviews, host coordination meetings, document key decisions, and follow up on task assignments across teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Two (2) years minimum experience in technical administration, project coordination, event planning, or a similar organizational support role.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional coordination skills, with a proven ability to bring together different teams and personalities.
• High proficiency with standard productivity and collaboration suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, Teams) and familiarity with or willingness to learn project tracking tools like Jira or Confluence.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced R&D environment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Secret clearance.

Physical Demands:
• Requires physical dexterity to assemble hardware, solder, manage tight wiring, and construct enclosures.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of raw materials, chassis components, and fully assembled ruggedized nodes short distances on even or uneven terrain or warehouse spaces.
• Must be able to lift, move, and position equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments, including on uneven or natural surfaces.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lean, crouch, twist, bend, and squat as needed to inspect or analyze equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors in deployed environments and perform duties in adverse weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, and heat.
