NSC Staffing is hiring Skilled Shipyard Trades for immediate work. We want to hear from you if you have at least 2 years of experience working in a naval or commercial shipyard!

• Firewatch w/ Clearance
• All Skilled Trades w/ Clearance

Position Overview:
As a Skilled Shipyard Trade Worker, you will be responsible for performing various essential tasks to ensure the completion of shipbuilding and repair projects. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and knowledge in shipyard environments, with tasks varying by trade. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety standards while contributing to the project's success.

Key Responsibilities (vary by trade):

• Perform welding, fitting, electrical, machining, and fabrication duties.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure all work meets the required specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete shipyard projects on time.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Clearance: Must hold a fully adjudicated Secret Clearance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial or naval shipyard environment.
• Must have personal hand tools required for your trade.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Work Environment:
The position requires work in various environments, including shipyards, piers, docks, and other NSC Staffing facilities. You will be exposed to wet and humid conditions, outdoor weather, extreme cold, and heat. The work environment is often loud, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to mitigate risks associated with these conditions.
