Job Description
- Regulates officer and enlisted manning and promotions, military education, and the family care program.
- Manages all military personnel assigned to the Agency. Manages, identifies, and prioritizes officers and enlisted vacancies and assigned billets.
- Coordinates with respective agencies on dates for promotions, schools, and assignments.
- Responsible for assisting employees, technicians, and senior leadership in interpreting regulations to determine eligibility for assignments, promotions, military pay, reductions, and incentives.
- Develops and maintains an annual schedule of convening board dates, eligibility criteria, and suspenses.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized Experience at the GS-12 is defined as reviewing and processing military personnel actions; and advising on military policies, leave, pay, deployment, and duty rosters.
