MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator in Laurel, MD.
Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO's backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

• The candidate should be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Configure and manage Linux operating systems alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server with automated tools such as Ansible and Puppet
- Install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the clients/servers/network devices.
- Provide support for the patching systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- End-User Support: Help desk support across all levels (both in-person and via phone)
- Scripting & Development: Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Infrastructure: NetApp storage management and Network administration
- Must be able to work late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.
- Core work hours are 6am to 6pm, work with team to determine 8-hour shift in this window
- 20 years of experience and Bachelor's degree or 25 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma
- Experience with Linux OS and software and hardware applications
- IAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP
- Strong command-line skills such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with SCANBOY or LatteArt
- Familiarity with enclave support
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
