Senior Principal Network Engineer
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Certification Required: IAT Level II or Higher (Security+, Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a highly secure environment. This position requires a strong background in Cisco networking technologies, network security, routing and switching, and infrastructure sustainment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and optimizing complex network environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, and VPN architectures.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
Active Secret Security Clearance
Active IAT Level II Certification or higher
5+ years of experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus operating systems
5+ years of experience supporting Cisco Firepower Firewalls and TACACS+ services
5+ years of experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching environments
Experience deploying and maintaining secure network infrastructures
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
Networking Expertise
Cisco routers and switches
Cisco Firepower Firewalls
Network routing and switching
VPN technologies
IPv4 and IPv6 networking
BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols
SNMP, SSH, Syslog, RADIUS, and TACACS+
Responsibilities
Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
Support LAN, WAN, and VPN environments to ensure reliable and secure communications.
Install, configure, and harden network devices following established security standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
Manage firewall configurations, policies, and rule modifications.
Evaluate and coordinate network hardware and software upgrades.
Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Monitor network performance and conduct capacity planning activities.
Coordinate maintenance and support activities with third-party vendors.
Recommend and implement network solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Participate in network architecture and design initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying, configuring, and securing Cisco network devices.
Strong understanding of:
CIDR
DNS
IPv4 subnetting and supernetting
Experience with advanced networking technologies including:
GRE
IPSec
QoS
VLANs
Multicast
Experience supporting WAN technologies and protocols.
Experience with network simulation and testing tools such as Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) and GNS3.
Experience supporting Linux and Windows operating systems.
