Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) has created this Evergreen Talent Pool post for gathering qualified candidates for a position relating to Mechanical Piping Engineer to support the Advance Energy Business Unit at our corporate office in Oak Ridge, TN.

Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze high-temperature piping systems for advanced process applications.
• Develop piping layouts, engineering calculations, isometrics, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support system fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop piping solutions for complex process systems.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable piping codes, DOE requirements, and industry standards.
• Support engineering reviews, design modifications, and continuous process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience designing or supporting high-temperature piping systems.
• Knowledge of piping design principles, materials selection, stress considerations, and fabrication methods.
• Familiarity with applicable piping codes and industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting nuclear, national laboratories, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with piping systems for high-temperature process, thermal, or metallurgical applications.
• Proficiency with piping design and 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or similar.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, if required.
Location/Work Arrangement:
• Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour week.
• This position is Hybrid in Oak Ridge, TN, or Remote.
