Sr. Lenel Engineering Technician (TS/SCI - Sponsored Poly)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced to support a high-visibility federal program focused on Physical Security Engineering and Electronic Security Systems (ESS). This role supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and modernization of mission-critical security infrastructure including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and associated communications systems. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting secure government facilities and DoD security environments.



Full-time, on-site role in Wahiawa, HI supporting mission-critical physical and electronic security systems for a high-visibility federal program within a secure operational environment.

• Design, install, test, and maintain Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
• Develop and validate engineering drawings and technical documentation in accordance with DoD standards.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify security requirements and recommend system enhancements.
• Develop Installation Design Packages (IDPs) and engineering documentation supporting PACS, IDS/PIDS, Video Management Systems (VMS), and other low-voltage security systems.
• Provide technical reviews, product evaluations, and engineering support for physical security projects.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Lenel access control systems and associated security technologies.
• Evaluate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products and develop replacement strategies for end-of-life equipment.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation for fiber infrastructure, security systems, and head-end equipment.
• Support ongoing installation, maintenance, and modernization efforts across secure facilities.
• Lead design reviews and provide recommendations to improve system reliability, performance, and operational effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of system administration, desktop support, and or engineering experience.
• Experience developing Installation Design Packages (IDPs) and Base Electronics Systems Engineering Plans (BESEPs).
• Experience conducting site surveys, supporting installations, and managing field operations for electronic security systems.
• Experience administering Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, and Windows Server 2025 environments.
