Job Description
Responsibilities:
Evaluation of existing electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation
Design, build and test electrical components and systems
Design electrical diagrams, block diagrams, interface control documents
Design conceptual wiring diagrams, and release detailed wiring diagrams
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes as a function of the signal type
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection implementation
Wires/cables selection to satisfy signal type, current, voltage, EMC, and EMI aircraft requirements
MUST HAVES:
BSEE with 8 years of aviation related experience.; MSEE and 5 years of directly related experience.
AS50881 (Wiring Aerospace Vehicle)
AC 43.13-1B standards and practices.
Experience with first article testing newly designed components
Experience creating/modifying code for testing/debugging new systems
Proficient with operation of electronic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and
logic analyzers, and spectrum analysis.
Occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE)
Preferred:
10 + years of experience in electrical engineering design in both Military and Civil aviation
Knowledge and actual Participation in FAA STC Approval process; military Airworthiness process
Familiarity with RF principles / Familiar with Harness Related Mil Specs
AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD drafting products experience preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation
