Job Description
- You will provide overall direction and oversight for projects under your purview to the civilian and military workforce both directly and via first, second, and third level supervisors.
- You will assign work to subordinates based upon priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of the employees.
- You will possess a comprehensive knowledge of the functional arrangements and organization of TRIREFFAC-KB to plan and manage the programs and projects for the execution of naval submarine maintenance and repair.
- You will define and generate department and command procedures, policies, and instructions necessary to plan and prepare for extended maintenance projects and related or similar work.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current IT-II level designation.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience operating in conjunction with production management assistants to define, plan, prepare for, guide, and execute performances of industrial refit maintenance and related activities for TRIDENT submarines in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
- Experience resolving issues such as complex work packages requiring multiple agencies participation during tight periods allowed for refitting each submarine.
- Experience analyzing workload projections and requirements as defined by ship schedules, maintenance, modification and installation, emergency reports, and other sources to define, schedule, and properly plan for operations near and long-term.
- Experience providing assistance and feedback in the development of financial planning, estimating budgeting, managerial control and reporting functions, including preparation of near and long-term project and department budgets and cost analysis of special operational issues.
- Experience hearing and resolving work issues and employee complaints, observing subordinates work to find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, and resolving workforce issues on problems as required.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position will be required to travel for worldwide deployment to Diego Garcia and Suda Bay Greece. Must pass physical requirements to include a DGAR screening to allow deployment in support of SSGN overseas voyage repairs. This position may require travel worldwide, at which time additional medical screening may be required.
Incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
The incumbent must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Visits to industrial sites also may require long periods of walking or standing, as well as include crawling, kneeling, repeated bending, and climbing requirements.
