Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support mission-critical for a leading defense partner at . This engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and sustainment of software system and subsystem engineering models supporting the full lifecycle of operational flight software. • Design, develop, test, and maintain software system and subsystem engineering models supporting operational flight software.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, utilizing JIRA for requirements management, issue tracking, and workflow management.
• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements and technical specifications into software solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and deploy operational flight software used for aircraft system monitoring and testing.
• Enhance and optimize software components to support system integration activities.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while serving as a technical resource for engineering teams.
• Ensure software complies with customer requirements, industry best practices, and applicable safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout design, development, integration, and sustainment efforts.

• 5-7 years of experience with a Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong proficiency developing software in C and/or ADA.
• Experience with JIRA for software development lifecycle management.
• Experience developing software within structured engineering environments.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and implement reliable software solutions.
• Desired :
  • Embedded software design experience
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical systems is a plus.

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 *depending on experience*
