Job Description

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer-Developer 3, in Colorado Springs, CO. Job ID#219190

Pay Rate: $72 - $77/hr

Job Description:

Work with other industry partners as a key contributor to the design and development of Java-based mathematical algorithms in support of the C2BMC

Support full software development lifecycle including generating design artifacts, implementing software changes, supporting design and code reviews, software testing, and resolution of issues found during testing

Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established processes

Software Requirements and architecture development in support of MDS systems

Develop, select, tailor and deploy integration and test processes, tools and metrics

Execute and document integration and test activities and events

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position may require the ability to obtain access to an MDA facility. Access to the facility requires a background investigation by U.S. government authorities.

This position requires candidate acceptance by the industry partner resource control board.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Required Skills:

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer engineering, or computer science

Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Must have active Secret

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working as part of an Agile team

Familiarity with Java J2EE or Java Spring

Knowledge of server side development and message passing

Experience developing enterprise applications

Good working knowledge of MS Office products

Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking

Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, and Eclipse

Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams

Experienced in the full life-cycle development of complex mathematical algorithms (such as tracking, correlation, guidance, battle management, and radar management) for Java-based military applications

Ability to implement MATLAB based algorithms into Java-based software.

Understanding of software development principles including OOP, design patterns, and testing/debugging techniques

Security+ or equivalent highly desired

Education / Experience:
