Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer III - Tactical Communications
Location: San Diego, CA, 92128
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: Up to $79.84/hr.
Schedule: 9/80 work schedule - work 80hrs over 9 days in a two-week period
***Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)
100% onsite

Summary:
Seeking a Link 16 Embedded Software Engineer III to support our Software and Digital Technologies department, primarily focused on Link 16 and Tactical Datalink software code bases.
Responsibilities:
· Design, architecture, development, and administration of embedded and real time systems.
· Performing tasks including design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses
· Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test, in an Agile software development environment.
· Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or another STEM discipline
· 5-8yrs of relevant experience
· Must have an active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance
Qualifications:
· Proficient in C/C++, Object Oriented programming, and formal software lifecycle processes from requirements through testing
· Experience integrating, developing, debugging, and testing low-level firmware/software in complex real-time, multi-threaded embedded applications
· Experience with embedded real-time systems, Static Analysis, Unit Testing, and troubleshooting Link16 waveform software environments
· Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git and Agile software development processes
· Hands-on experience with Tactical Datalink radios/terminals, Link 16/TACAN Waveform Standard Documents, Software Defined Radios (SDR), CORBA, and Software Communications Architecture (SCA)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Avionics Operating Systems, Software Defined Radios, and Networked Information Solutions program portfolios
· Experience with Xilinx platforms (Zynq, Ultrascale+, VERSAL) and development tools (Vitis, Vivado)
· Experience with Yocto/Petalinux, Linux kernel driver development/modifications, bare-metal embedded device drivers, and PowerPC architectures/peripherals
· Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet), TCP/IP, and common network configurations
· Experience implementing cryptographic mechanisms using dedicated software libraries; familiarity with HAIPE, OTNK, and/or IKE
· Experience with Rust and assembly language
· Familiarity with IBM tools (Rhapsody, DOORS, ClearCase), Green Hills AdaMulti, and MIL-STD-6016
· Current active Top-Secret Clearance and/or SAP clearance
