Job Title: Software Systems Engineer III - SEA
Location: Northridge, CA, 91324
Pay Rate: Up to $97.58/hr.
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: 9/80 work schedule - work 80hrs over 9 days in a two-week period
100% Onsite
***Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance that is in-scope (adjudicated within the past 5 years)

Summary:
Seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support our Advance Weapons Business Unit. As a member of the software department, you’ll get to define software requirements and functional decompose subsystem specifications.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for translating system/subsystem level software requirements into software level requirements for each CSCI.
· Work with System and Software engineers to develop software architecture models.
· Support Verification and Validation of software product to ensure all integrated CSCIs function as intended.
Education & Experience:
· Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (adjudicated within the past 5 years)
· Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related degree.
· 10+ years of relevant experience
Qualifications:
· Experience with systems engineering throughout the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, requirements allocation, system and software design, software implementation, software testing, system integration, field integration testing, and requirements verification
· Experience using DOORS and Cameo Enterprise Architecture (Cameo EA) to develop software and systems architecture models, including use case, activity, and sequence diagrams
· Experience writing Software Test Plans, Test Descriptions, and executing verification and validation testing
· Experience with embedded software and the ability to read code and verify implementation against Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
· Experience integrating and testing systems, subsystem, software, and hardware components
· Aerospace or defense industry experience supporting system design, integration, and verification
· Familiarity in Writing Software Test Plans and Test Descriptions and running tests.
Preferred:
· Experience in multiple aerospace and defense technologies (e.g., sensors, navigation aids, guidance electronics, controls, propulsion, structures, platforms).
· Have technical knowledge in one or more military mission areas (e.g., Air, Land, Sea, Space, Cyber)
· Experience in assessing legacy system architecture and innovation for future potential technology development.
