Job Description
DCS is seeking a skilled Configuration Management/Data Management (CMDM) Analyst to support a fast-paced Army product management office in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will develop systems engineering documents, processes, and procedures, perform configuration management, and track program milestone documentation with effective coordination across engineering, logistics, and customer teams. Position Type: Full-time, Onsite
Essential Functions
Manage Core CMDM Processes: Support baseline establishment, document control, engineering release processes, and change management.
Review Engineering Products: Review and route engineering work products to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.
Cross-Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, vendors, and government personnel to ensure timely CMDM processing and communication.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain CMDM documentation, reports, and inputs for proposals or Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
Process & Plan Development: Contribute to the development and execution of plans, methodologies, and CMDM processes aligned with project goals and schedules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure consistent application of CMDM practices across multiple project areas.
Problem Resolution: Apply professional judgment to identify and resolve issues within assigned areas, escalating complex matters as needed.
Data Security & Safeguarding: Protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), source selection data, and proprietary contractor data while facilitating data-driven decisions for leadership.
PDM Tool Access & Liaison: Serve as the primary data liaison and Point of Contact (POC) between government and contractor teams for PDM tool access and account management.
Required Skills
Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain one (U.S. Citizenship required).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree + at least eight (8) years of technical experience (including hands-on CM/DM work in a DoD environment), OR
High School Diploma + sixteen (16) years of technical experience (including hands-on CM/DM work in a DoD environment).
Process Improvement: Proven track record in process optimization, technical coordination, and high documentation accuracy.
Autonomy & Attention to Detail: Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain strict attention to detail.
Core CM/DM Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of standard configuration and data management principles.
Tool Familiarity: Experience with Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and source control tools.
Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and government counterparts.
Core Competencies: Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
