Job Description
Systems Administrator
Responsibilities
• Administer, maintain, and support Windows-based servers and workstations within a cleared DoD enterprise environment.
• Deploy, manage, and verify operating system patches, security updates, and hotfixes.
• Implement and maintain security hardening measures, including STIG compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, availability, and overall operational health.
• Perform vulnerability identification, remediation, and compliance tracking activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, and user access issues.
• Support RMF compliance efforts, POA&M management, security audits, and accreditation activities.
• Maintain accurate configuration management records, system documentation, and change management artifacts.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable operations.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Systems Administration experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments and supporting Windows 10/11 systems.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience managing system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for system administration and automation tasks.
• Experience supporting virtualized environments using VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, system hardening, and STIG implementation.
• Understanding of RMF, POA&M management, and compliance-driven environments.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise servers, workstations, and infrastructure issues.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal government IT environments.
• Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, workstations, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• Active Secret Clearance required with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility.
Preferred
• Experience administering VMware and other virtualized environments.
• Experience supporting RMF accreditation packages and cybersecurity inspections.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and compliance-driven environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise monitoring, incident response, and operational support processes.
• Experience working closely with cybersecurity, network engineering, and infrastructure teams.
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell or similar tools.
Compensation: $94,681 - $136,725/year, commensurate on experience.
