Job Description
MeF RedHat OpenShift Engineer
- Remote, US
Our Partner is looking for a RedHat OpenShift Engineer with strong background in container orchestration, platform management, and cloud-native applications with hands-on experience in managing and deploying applications on OpenShift clusters.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters - 25%
- Configure, manage, and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift - 20%
- Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm - 25%
- Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CI/CD deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub - 15%
- Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications - 15%
Requirements
- US Citizenship
- IRS MBI Clearance
- CMMi Level 3
- Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), formerly Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- Managing and administering OpenShift clusters - 5 years
- Proficiency in scripting languages (KSH, Bash, Python) - 4 years
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) - 4 years
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven) - 4 years
- In-depth knowledge of networking in containerized environments, load balancing, network policies, and ingress/egress traffic - 4 years
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems - 5 years
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills
- RedHat OpenShift or Kubernetes certification(s)
