Java/JEE Developer to design and develop MeF Mod microservices using Springboot, KAFKA, JAX-Rest Services, JPA/Hibernate, and RedHat OpenShift. Perform Unit and Integration tests. Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain Java components as needed.



Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/JEE components using KAFKA, Spring Rest Services, Spring Boot - 70%


• Perform unit and development level integration testing as needed - 20%


• Perform code maintenance based on needs of Client testing, Customer testing, and production issues - 10%

Requirements

• US Citizenship


• IRS MBI Clearance


• CMMi Level 3


• Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), formerly Rational Team Concert (RTC)


• Java/JEE microservices development with Spring REST and Spring Boot - 8 years


• Integrate KAFKA for Event Driven Workflows - 4 years


• KAFKA Administration - 2 years


• Development using AI tools such as Claude Code - 1 year


• RedHat OpenShift Container platform - 4 years


• Develop automated unit tests with JUnit - 4 years


• Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite or JBoss studio - 4 years


• Github, JIRA - 3 years


• Oracle Exadata - 2 years


• Microsoft Word and Excel


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions
