Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of enterprise cybersecurity initiatives within a federal environment. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure with proven project leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, remove delivery obstacles and successfully deliver complex engineering initiatives. The Technical Project Manager role serves as the primary liaison between cybersecurity engineering teams, operations, executive leadership, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure security capabilities are delivered on schedule, within scope and aligned with federal cybersecurity requirements. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth, development and culture of an exciting and fast-growing company in the cybersecurity market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead multiple cybersecurity engineering projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Manage engineering teams supporting Vulnerability Management, SIEM/SOC, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security and Security Operations.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate technical dependencies across infrastructure, cloud, networking and security teams.
  • Develop project schedules, executive dashboards, risk registers and status reports.
  • Present project health, risks and recommendations to executives and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA and agency cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support deployments, testing, cutovers and operational transition activities.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and project governance.


What you need to know:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong Agile project management experience.
  • Experience navigating and applying federal cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication organizational and stakeholder management skills.


Must have's:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of project management experience with 5+ years managing Agile projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification plus one of the following: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or an equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
  • Experience managing and leading IT or cybersecurity-related projects.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, in compliance with federal contract requirements.


Beneficial to have:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or a related cybersecurity certification.
  • Experience coaching teams through evolving project lifecycles or shifting delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to evaluate risk and adapt project plans proactively to ensure consistent delivery outcomes.
