PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This is a Top Secret program within the signal intelligence (SIGINT) community. The applications tested involve space-ground satellite imagery, geospatial data, and large amounts of intel from disparate sources. The applications are used for satellite surveillance of foreign nations and military operations overseas.
CANDIDATE PROFILE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for experienced, self-motivated Systems Engineers to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application.
Assigned tasks may include analysis of needs, the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), working with customers and other team members, preparing user interface mock-ups, technical documentation in Jira and confluence, generation of agile capabilities & user stories, backlog prioritization and management, sprint planning, customer engagement, close interaction with software and system test engineers on the team to achieve program objectives. Perform analysis and tasks at concurrent stages to include technical planning, system design, software implementation, system integration, verification and validation.
Required Skills:
Must have a Top Secret security clearance
Experience with TCPED processes, practices and tools at the IC and/or COCOM level, focusing on tasking and collection (strong preference for SIGINT)
Understanding of User Interface design and development practices
Experience with Government contracting for the Space market to include Ground Processing, Command and Control and/or Intelligence Systems
Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community
Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.)
Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as MagicDraw
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Subversion, Git, etc.)
IC3 experience preferred
Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes
Experience with Cloud computing environments ( e.g., AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8+ years related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications
Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools
Experience with system integration and test on a UNIX or Linux platform
Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships)
Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates
Strong oral and written communications skills
Good planning and organizational skills
