Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a I&T Manager - Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This is both a functional management position with direct reports and a Project Leadership position. The Manufacturing Integration & Test Managers are the interface between the Business Units and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for schedule management and cost accountability of manufacturing activities in Integration & Test for their respective Business Units.




  • Manage the production execution for Business Unit programs
  • Manage I&T cost and schedule performance
  • Serve as I&T lead for all proposals in the Business Unit
  • Create and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the I&T execution of the programs
  • Understand and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management and customers
  • Ensure I&T has the needed resources (resources needs as well as allocation of resources from I&T) to execute the programs
  • Serve as Functional Manager and direct the work of the reporting Operations Project Managers
  • Perform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business Division
  • Mentor, develop, and assess direct reports
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Integration & Test objectives are achieved
  • Provide I&T expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business Division



  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience.
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • 5+ years of experience leading people and/or projects
  • 2+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • 8+ years of experience working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Integration & Test, or similar roles (6 years with a Master's degree)
  • Working knowledge of Cost Point and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems



  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering
  • Current security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts:
  • MRP and IMS Scheduling
  • Cost Point production planning and material management tools
  • Windchill, TipQA, Cognos,
  • Earned Value Management
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing
  • Experience leading I&T proposal efforts that include labor quoting, schedule and capacity analysis, investment planning, and descriptive writing contributions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Program execution experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $159,500.00 - $239,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
