Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a First Line Production Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in El Segundo, California.
The selected individual will lead a high-performing team driving production excellence for critical aerospace programs. In this role you'll shape technical approaches, streamline processes with stakeholders, and deliver impactful improvements that directly support mission-critical systems. Position Responsibilities:

- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering, with an emphasis on Manufacturing Engineering Planning
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of one or more Production Engineering disciplines and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Extensive experience with MESci systems, specifically with modifying Bill of Materials and updating work instructions
- Experience supporting space programs in an assembly, integration, and test environment
- Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners
- Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping under-performing members
