Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Logistics and inventory Control Specialist, Junior to work out of Ft. Eustis, VA.
PAY: $56,000 - $62,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Track logistics items including requirements, proposals, estimates, orders, deliveries, and status.
- Conduct logistics and inventory control, logging procurements, tracking, receiving, distribution, and storage of items that support research and development activities.
- Maintain a database of all logistics transactions including, but not limited to, purchase order number, vendor, item description, national stock number or part number, quantity, unit of issue, hand receipt number, unit cost, total cost, date of submittal, required/requested date, estimated delivery date, status, manufacturer, partial or incomplete deliveries.
- Assist Property Book Liaison as needed with documentation and preparation of addition packages, etc.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for FedEx shipments, to include tracking shipments, status of shipments and preparing labels.
- Enter credit card purchase requirements into the government’s Enterprise Resource Planning System (GFEBS), ensuring the information is correct.
- Ensure purchase request authorization packets are complete and accurate before assigning a purchase order number.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over one year of experience supporting Research and Development (R&D) projects for a DoD entity.
- As required, must be able to twist, walk and reach frequently, have the ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, move materials, must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. On a regular basis, must be able to work in outside climate conditions found typical for Ft. Eustis, VA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Army Aviation experience in an R&D environment is preferred over other DoD or general experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School diploma or High School equivalency certificate.
