Sunshine. Ocean breezes. Leadership that changes lives.

If you've ever dreamed of combining your passion for leading others with the opportunity to live and work in one of America's most beautiful cities, this could be the perfect fit.

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced, compassionate Lead Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to provide clinical leadership and oversight for a team supporting unaccompanied minors in a residential care setting in beautiful, sunny San Diego, California.

Every day brings the opportunity to mentor exceptional clinicians while helping children who have overcome incredible challenges begin to heal, regain hope, and build brighter futures. You'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding behavioral health services and ensuring the highest quality of care where it matters most.

Licensed in another state? Great! We welcome independently licensed clinicians from all 50 states and U.S. territories and will assist with obtaining California licensure, including reimbursement of applicable licensing fees.

This is a full-time, onsite leadership position supporting a critical federal program.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, mentorship, and day-to-day support for a team of Behavioral Health Therapists.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, clinical evaluations, and treatment planning as needed.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance for complex cases while ensuring trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, treatment plans, and service delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and continuity of care.
  • Support the onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development of behavioral health staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, program leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Assist leadership with program implementation, quality improvement initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Maintain a limited clinical caseload while providing leadership support to the team, as needed.
  • Advocate for the safety, well-being, and successful outcomes of every child served.

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in any U.S. state or U.S. territory (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of five years of post-independent licensure clinical experience.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership, supervisory, or clinical management experience.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, behavioral health best practices, and clinical supervision.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego, California.
  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Experience working with unaccompanied minors, foster care, refugee populations, residential treatment, or child welfare.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary behavioral health teams.
  • Experience in crisis response or high-acuity behavioral health settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting federal or government-funded behavioral health programs.

At Blue Rose, you'll find more than a job. You'll discover a leadership opportunity where your clinical expertise helps shape both exceptional care and the professionals delivering it.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to live and work in beautiful San Diego, where nearly every day feels like summer.
  • We welcome clinicians licensed anywhere in the United States, making relocation easier than ever.
  • California licensure assistance, including reimbursement of applicable licensing fees.
  • The opportunity to lead, mentor, and develop a talented team of behavioral health professionals.
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work supporting children during some of the most important moments of their lives.
  • A collaborative team that values compassion, innovation, leadership, and service.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and continued career development.
  • The chance to go home every day knowing your leadership helped improve both the lives of children and the clinicians who care for them.

If you're ready to trade the ordinary for a leadership career filled with purpose, sunshine, and impact, we'd love to meet you.
